First time here & the service was amazing. The place is clean & organized. The staff was friendly and extremely patient with our large order. Ordered all sorts of things from the menu and each one was a 10/10. Rare to find a place that is a hit across the board. Definitely will be back!

It's a small place and upon walking up it was packed. Meaning it would absolutely be good. I got a hot Cheeto burrito and it was ready within 5 minutes even with all the people there. I've had quite a few hot Cheeto burritos and this is by far the best. Plenty of meat and it's seasoned extremely well.

Picked this spot for lunch on a drive up to the mountains, and we loved the food so much we returned three days later on our drive back to the Bay Area. Excellent salsa bar, free grilled onions to snack on, nice staff, the perfect informal vibe. This could easily become my go to on road trips in the future. Thank you Tacos Chapala!!!

I'd been wanting to try this restaurant and it was pretty good! I ended up getting the burrito bowl with carne asada and the meat was good I just regretted my decision because I needed tortillas on the side. lol I should've just got a burrito. My fiancé gave me one of his crispy tacos and it was delicious! Since it was our first time coming here we wanted to try the horchata bites and they were delicious! They are filled with horchata pudding and a side of ice cream. The place was clean and modern and I also appreciated the salsa bar. The guy who took our order was also very nice and answered our questions about the menu. We will be back!

This has been open for over a year now and on my list to try. I finally made it out there for a Thursday lunch. The ambience is very simple, modern, chic. They did a great job. You order at the counter, and they have a decent size menu with options. We tried the breed bowl and breakfast burrito, and both of them were absolutely delicious. The burrito bowl seemed much more fresh than chipotle. Service was good, the place was also clean, and our food came out in about 10 minutes or so. They also have a salsa bar so you can pick any of salsa, or sides.

I've been to the Chapala in Stockton before, but honestly this Manteca location is a lot better plus way cleaner. They also have an open kitchen so you can see your food being made. It's the usual ordering process where you order then sit down and wait for your food to be given to you. Only downside is you have to pay for chips, but not a huge deal. I personally ordered the Carne Asada Taco & Al Pastor Taco. Each taco is $2.75 which is a solid price. The Al Pastor and Carne Asada were pretty standard. I definitely prefer the Asada more. The meat to tortilla and salsa ratio is perfect too. The tortilla was really soft and doesn't fall apart while eating it. The Carne Asada Quesadilla ($11) blew my mind. That thing is MASSIVE. For $11 too it is a great deal. It was absolutely loaded with Asada and guacamole. It is definitely a sharable item and I couldn't even finish it despite being a total glutton myself. It is great value and I'd recommend it. Once you finish the staff cleans the table and dishes for you. Customer service is pretty friendly overall and the store is basically spotless. This is certainly a great spot for authentic Mexican food.
